POWDER BROWS

Ombre Powder Brows are a form of permanent makeup (cosmetic tattoo), where pigment is implanted under the surface of the skin with a gentle, low vibration tattoo machine. This technique is meant to create an extra soft, powdery makeup effect. The Ombre Power Brow method is used to illuminate a “blocky brow” look, making it much more subtle than regular makeup. It is great for all skin types, all ages, and heals within 7-10 days.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POWDER BROWS & MICRO-BLADING?

There are three main differences between Powder Brows and Microblading.

1) How the pigment is implanted into the skin

2) Overall look of the finished service

3) Permanent vs. semi-permanent. Powder Brows are permanently tattooed with a PMU (permanent makeup machine) and require less maintance than Microblading. Although both types do fade over time, microblading tends to fade faster especially under the wrong skin.

What Causes Pigment to Fade?

  1. Our metabolism! First and foremost your body will break down the pigment over time. This time frame depends a lot on your body composition and metabolism. As everyone is different, the rate at which it depletes can differ between several months.

  2. Sun exposure ! Wear that sunscreen. A mineral based sunscreen is not only going to prolong the life of your your brows freckles and lip colour. Wearing a hat and sunglasses can help too.

  3. Your skin care routine!! There are 1000’s of products out there we can put on our skin. Therefore everyone’s skin is going to hold pigment differently. The more active ingredients you’re using, the more likely the pigment will start to prematurely deplete. Just be mindful of not rubbing Retinols, acids, peels etc into the brow, lip area.

COMBO BROWS

  • By combining both hair strokes and soft shading we get a very natural appearance with a bit more of a softly filled in look. This is great for those that fill in their brows daily but still want them to look as natural as possible. This can be done a couple different ways with more hair strokes or less, and more filled in or soft. Your choice! Unsure? I will 100% help you at the appt time to determine which style will best suit your skin, your overall desired look, and what’s best for your lifestyle too!
